The Islington Centre for English (ICE) is a specialist language school based in N1, central London. We offer a variety of English language courses to suit all levels at some of the lowest prices in the English language school marketplace. Whether you’re a beginner or preparing for your Cambridge Advanced Exam certificate, at our school you’ll find an English course for you.
Our doors have been open to eager English language students for 14 years. Before this we were working with the London Centre of Fashion studies teaching academic English to undergraduate students; since then we believe we have become the best value independent English school in London. Accredited by the British council, our language school has attracted thousands of language students from all over the world, with more than 2500 enrolments per year. The Islington Centre for English is a great learning environment as we provide a caring, family atmosphere to put students and teachers at ease. Our buildings are well-maintained and in a wonderful location, opposite Angel underground station.
We offer our students flexibility, as our courses can be as long, short or advanced as they want; with the options of part-time courses and class slots in the morning, afternoon and evening, we can ensure there’s always a time to learn. We offer a wide range of English courses including general English courses and the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE). Having this qualification is the best way to prove to a potential employer that you can speak, read and write in English at a sufficient level. In addition to IELTS exam preparation, we offer Business English courses in the evenings, language workshops including writing classes and speaking classes.
Our teachers are all native speakers. We have a maximum of 15 students per lesson and we want to encourage our students to participate in class, communicate and speak English as much as possible to get as much English language practice as possible.

Spinal Cord Stimulation: Pain Pacemaker
Pain pacemaker is the production of an electrical field by stimulating the electrodes placed in the epidural space in the spinal cord with a special surgical procedure, thus preventing pain transmission. It can be used in many chronic pain patients. It also improves blood circulation by providing sympathetic block. Thus, it is also useful in the treatment of vascular occlusion.
The main patients in which it is used are:
1. Unsuccessful back or neck surgery
